Rabbis and scholarship
Iraqi Jewish learning was geographically diverse. Baghdad’s Bet Zilkha and the scholarship associated with Abdallah Somekh belong to a different setting from the Barzani tradition of Kurdistan, but both show how places and teaching networks reinforced one another.
